About me

Welcome to my page!
I'm Albert, a Dunlap Postdoctoral Fellow
at the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, University of Toronto.

I received my Ph.D. in Physics in 2023
from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,
under the supervision of Prof. George F. Smoot

My interest in astronomy began in childhood.
I've always been fascinated by the night sky and the universe's workings.
This passion led me to pursue a career in astronomical research.

Research Highlights

Start-up: Centauri Optics

In year 2018 (just before I started my Ph.D.), I found a start-up company with
Prof. KS Wong (my undergraduate thesis supervisor), Dr. Chan and Anthony Lam.

We aim to develop low-cost, portable and remote controllable microscopes
for laboratory and educational usage.

Personal interests

Stargazing and Astro-photography

Despite the light pollution in city, we take our telescopes and cameras to the suburb once there is a clear sky. I also take some night sky photos during my trips.

Sometime I also helps local astronomy societies to hold astronomy events
